the life and times of a dubliner in the making
- Hilde W. Frydnes
- From Bergen, Irish at heart, and living in Edinburgh, I am (obviously) fond of rain, as well as hearty food, reading by the fire, and a good pint of Guinness. I write about food I like to cook and eat, books I read, and thoughts I have.

My Dublin
Things I did while waiting for Dublin
- Borrow Irish films from the library
- Drink Guinness
- Enforcing a rigorous non-buying regime. Failing slightly.
- Incorporate cliché Irish expressions in everyday conversations
- Listen to Westlife. And U2. And Brian McFadden. Loving it.
- Make lists
- OD on guide books
- Put things in boxes. And take them out, only to put them back in again.
- Read Joyce
- Try to decipher pronounciation of common Gaelic words. Failing completely.
